Your Strategic Lens: What You See Determines What Moves
This wasn’t just a Blue Moon night.
It was a planned event—and I was determined to be there.
Three days after knee surgery.
My sister helped me hobble in. Slowly. Carefully. One step at a time.
I was so grateful.
Grateful to be through the hardest part.
Grateful to be healing.
Grateful to be back in motion—even imperfectly.
I had my rose-tinted glasses on. Literally.
But more importantly, I had made a choice.
Not to resist. Not to fight reality.
I chose to surrender.
To heal.
To stay positive.
And sitting there under that rare Blue Moon, holding that bright blue drink, laughing beside my sister, I realized something important:
My circumstances hadn’t fully changed yet.
But my lens had.
Your Strategic Lens Decides What Moves Next
I wasn’t focused on what was lost.
I was focused on what was returning.
Energy. Strength. Momentum.
Strategists understand this instinctively.
They don’t wait for everything to be finished.
They shift their lens the moment forward movement becomes available.
I Had to Ask Myself:
Am I feeding frustration… or feeding recovery?
Am I reinforcing limitation… or reinforcing possibility?
Am I trusting the healing… or resisting the timeline?
Because where your lens goes, your energy follows.
And where your energy goes, momentum returns.
That Blue Moon didn’t heal my knee.
But it reminded me that healing was already underway.
Not because everything was perfect.
But because I chose to see myself moving forward.
One supported step at a time.
So ask yourself:
Where in your life can you choose surrender instead of resistance?
Where can you trust healing instead of forcing outcomes?
And what might begin to move… if you simply chose to see it differently?
